Environmental Hygiene Cleaning & Disinfection Training, sponsored by The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation and the Upper Cumberland Healthcare Preparedness Coalition and funded through a grant from the Civil Monetary Penalty Quality Improvement Program that is administered by the Tennessee Department of Health, was held on August 13 & 14 at the Cookeville Higher Education Campus. The training sessions were held in collaboration with CleanHealth Environmental for the purpose of providing comprehensive training to empower staff to conduct effective environmental cleaning and disinfection practices. Infection Control Nurses and Environmental Sources Supervisors from 21 regional skilled nursing facilities participated in the training.
